Teak 3011 series
[Sponsor: AR Infotek Inc.]

The Teak 3011 is based on an x86-compatible AMD Geode processor, comes housed in a compact steel chassis, and targets security appliances for SMBs (small- and medium-sized businesses). It draws just 2.4 Watts, the company says.

The Teak 3011 is based on an AMD LX800 and CS5536 companion chip. It supports DDR 266/400 RAM, and comes standard with 128MB, expandable to 512MB.

The Teak 3011 can boot from an internal CompactFlash slot, and also has a drive bay for a 2.5-inch hard drive or DiskOnChip.

The Teak 3011 has four auto-sensing 10/100 Ethernet ports based on Intel 82551ER chipsets. Two ports have "bypass" functions "to keep your network working if the appliance is out of order," ARinfotek says.

Other features a front-panel mounted RS-232 port on a DB-9 connector, a PCI slot supporting crypto or other add-in expansion cards, and a pair of USB 2.0 ports.

The Teak 3011 measures 10.8 x 5.7 x 1.7 inches (275 x 144.5 x 43.5mm), and comes with a 20 Watt external power adapter.

ARinfotek says its Teak 3011 appliance has passed "strict safety verification," and can provide a reliable and and complete platform on which to base embedded network appliances.

ARinfotek also offers a three-port 3010 model, along with a wireless-enabled 3018 model. And, the company offers a family of industrial computing platforms that run uClinux.
