Zaurus SL-C700 (VGA model) coming to the US soon? -- An article in PC World reports that Sharp's new Zaurus SL-C700 clamshell-style Linux PDA will be introduced in the U.S. in the beginning of 2003, priced at about $500. IP TV platform rests on embedded Linux, PowerPC405 foundation -- MontaVista Software and Araneo Ltd. announced a technology collaboration aimed at the digital TV market. Araneo's IP TV Platform, developed on the MontaVista Linux OS and development platform and using IBM STBxxxx integrated controllers, receives MPEG video streams that are delivered over DVB (Digital Video Broadcast) or IP, and played directly on TVs.
