India's $200 Linux-based "Simputer" set to launch -- Reuters news agency reports that the "Simputer," a $200 Linux-based computer system, will launch in Bangalore, India on April 25. DivX emerges as open standard for digital video compression --DivXNetworks has announced that the open source version of DivX video compression technology ("OpenDivX") has been ported to all major operating systems and processor platforms, less than three months after release of the source code. story
